Dear Eagles,
Today we had another fantastic meeting with a very good turnout accompanied
with 5 very good speeches, covering from water prices to cell phone
addiction to April 1st exaggerations to the history of money/ bartering to
how to hike and of course we had plenty of laughs through out.
We are 4 speeches away from being President's distinguished for the 12th
time in a row. We know that we will accomplish them and we should surely
take a moment to celebrate. And, Yes, we did go to Old Dublin to celebrate.
Thanks to everyone for coming. It was great.
Today we published our 3rd quarter newsletter. The newsletter is posted on
our club website page. Many thanks to Sonia for the design and editing, she
does a phenomenal job.
Thanks to Rachel and Kate for conducting the workshop. Though we did not get
as many guests as we would like to have, the energy and the quality of the
speakers did not diminish a bit. I would like to thank both of them for
their commitment.
Today was a special day as it marks my last day with Eagles. I personally
feel that I gained a lot from the toastmasters in general and especially
from the Presidents role. I want to thank all of for your kind and generous
support. Thanks Richard for the book and Ute, thanks for the heart and the
pins. I will miss you all dearly even though I know that you guys are only a
phone call or an email away.
Thanks to Kate for agreeing to be the interim President.
Thanks and congrats to Sonia for agreeing to be the 20th President of the
club for the 2013-14 calendar years.
